My life has been a quest for knowing. It has always been an undercurrent in me. As a postgraduate, I was named the university’s best student of the year. From 23 to 26, I lectured and gave everything I had to my students. I was recognised as the university’s best lecturer for student outcomes.

At 26, I left and built an academic institution. Our students won state, national and global awards. I wanted to do everything to the best of my ability.

WHAT AM I DOING?

WHAT AM I DOING?

WHAT AM I DOING?

Around 29, a question stayed with me: What is the meaning of life, and what am I doing? I had skills, knowledge and experience, but I was using them in a narrow context. I felt a deep urge to serve. I promised myself I would leave the institution at 35 and devote myself to the service of humanity.

At 33, I sold the institution to an ASX-listed company. For months afterwards, I had nowhere to go. For the first time, I had nothing to build towards. That was when I encountered something deeper in myself.

TEN YEARS OF GIVING

TEN YEARS OF GIVING

TEN YEARS OF GIVING

I took a vow: for the next ten years, I would serve and give, whatever it cost me. It was not easy. I gave wealth, energy, time and my will.

We helped more than 100,000 small-scale farming families, raised large capital and won global recognition. Midway through those ten years, I sensed that something significant would happen. Something instrumental. I did not know what. The mind wants to know what lies ahead - to anticipate it, prepare for it, avoid it, or decide whether it will be good or bad. I chose not to anticipate. I kept doing the work I had committed myself to and let whatever was coming arrive in its own time.

Those ten years had asked more of me than I could ever have imagined. What stayed with me changed how I understood giving, forgiveness and truth.

WHAT I RECEIVED

Truth became my greatest strength. Giving continues, now through the ventures I build, the capital I invest and the opportunities I create for founders. I came to know a presence beyond myself, one I experience as the highest divine. My philosophy became simple: give, forgive and live in her will. I have not left the world to live my truth. I am still engaged in work and remain ambitious. The difference is that my ambition no longer comes with attachment.

truth IN action

On a personal level, I am pursuing an ancient question: How does the mind become still? What lies beyond the incessant activity of thought? Is no-mind possible - not as an idea to understand, but as a state to realise? The question feels increasingly urgent in a world being reshaped by technology. As technology advances, understanding the human mind becomes more consequential. What happens to our attention, our consciousness and our capacity to be fully human when the machinery of thought around us grows ever more powerful?

I continue to build ventures, capital and opportunities for founders. The difference is that the building no longer stands apart from the inquiry. Both are forms of action. One without the other remains incomplete. I hope this inquiry may one day contribute something meaningful to humanity: a deeper understanding of the mind, and of what becomes possible when it falls silent
